PLAIN has been actively involved in sharing knowledge and inspiring its community in various ways over the past years.
For instance, our creative director has served as a motivational speaker and business coach at various schools, contributed to the creation of new entrepreneurship programs, and been invited to share his journey and insights on entrepreneurship on various podcasts.
We aim to leverage the momentum of our anniversary in collaboration with the BOB network to inspire visitors. We have created a networking island on the 4th floor, featuring three tables full of inspiration and networking opportunities.
One of the highlights is the “Pick a Card, Leave a Card” table. We invite everyone with a business to bring their business cards to our anniversary event. On the first table of our networking island, you can leave your business card and take one from another entrepreneur. The rule is simple: if you leave your card, you must take another entrepreneur’s card. We encourage everyone to post the card they take on their social media story and tag the person, allowing us to showcase each other’s businesses to new audiences.
It’s crucial that your social media handles are on your business card.
But it doesn’t stop there! We encourage both entrepreneurs to continue the conversation. Some questions to kickstart the dialogue could be:
- Why did you choose my business card?
- How long have you been running your business?
- Where do you see your business in 5 years?
- What personal qualities do you want to work on?
- (And any other ideas)
Learning from the experiences and perspectives of entrepreneurs you admire is crucial for your growth as a starter. PLAIN personally finds much inspiration in this, so we’ve asked various entrepreneurs to answer questions we believe could be inspiring for our readers.

The BOB Network organizes accessible, laid-back, no-nonsense, come-as-you-are networking events.
For each event, we visit a different BOB. This means the events can take place all over the Netherlands and Belgium, always offering something unique and providing the opportunity to discover new BOBs.
